Looking for a Bushel44 alternative? Here is what the move looks like.
If you need a new home for your wholesale ordering, this page covers what Orderwerks® does, what it doesn't, what it costs, and how a November cutover works. It is a private, branded ordering portal for your own customers, with inventory, payment tracking, and direct ShipStation shipping behind it. It is not a marketplace.
Onboarding takes 2-4 weeks. Teams that start by early October are live before November.

What Orderwerks covers, and what it doesn't
A forced migration is the wrong time to find out a product is missing something you relied on. Here is the full list.
Covered
- Branded B2B ordering portal for your buyers, on web, iOS, and Android
- Order management with a configurable order workflow
- Inventory with reserve, available, and backorder quantities
- Payment tracking with no accounting system required
- Customer records with multiple contacts, notes, and full order history
- Inactive-account reporting for win-back
- Multiple brands with no per-brand fee
- Campaign attribution: UTM parameters and promo codes in reports
- Direct ShipStation integration: orders, rates, labels, tracking
- QuickBooks Online, Desktop, and Enterprise, if and when you want it
Not included
- A public marketplace or buyer directory
- Public menus or QR-code menu pages
- Lead lists
- Built-in outbound email
Orderwerks is a private portal for customers you already have. If marketplace demand was the main reason you were on your current platform, this is a different kind of product. Better to know that here than on a demo call.
Hemp wholesale order management, without the parts you won't use
Built around how hemp and CBD wholesale actually runs: smoke-shop buyers ordering from phones at night, due-on-receipt payments, state-by-state product rules, and a shipping desk that lives in ShipStation.
Branded ordering portal on web, iOS, and Android
Your buyers log in to a portal carrying your name and their pricing, on a laptop or a phone. A smoke shop reordering at 10pm gets a native app, not a pinched desktop site.
Direct ShipStation integration, no QuickBooks required
Orders flow to ShipStation for rates, labels, and tracking. SKUs carry through for scan-verify at the pack station. Tracking numbers come back to the order and to your customer.
Runs without an accounting system
Paid, partial, and due status on every order. Bulk mark-payment when checks and gateway deposits land. Due on receipt is the default workflow, not a workaround. Connect QuickBooks Online, Desktop, or Enterprise later if you adopt one.
Wholesale inventory, separate from your e-commerce
Reserve, available, and backorder quantities on a wholesale pool that stays independent of your retail e-commerce stock. One warehouse or several.
State-by-state product restrictions
Product legality varies by state. Price groups control which products each customer can see and order, so a buyer in a restricted state never sees a restricted SKU.
Customer records built for win-back
Multiple contacts per account, notes, and full order history. An inactive-account report shows who has stopped ordering, and automatic reorder nudges remind buyers when they are due.
Keep your marketing stack
Run outbound from whatever email tool you already use. UTM parameters and promo codes are captured on every portal order and show up in reports, so campaigns get revenue attribution without a built-in tool you did not choose.
Multiple brands, no per-brand fee
Run several brands from one account: segmented inside one catalog with one portal, or as separate brand accounts under a single buyer login. Both models are shown in a demo.
The 30-day migration plan
The deadline is real, so the plan is short. Most of the work is ours.
- 1
Export your data now
Products, customers, contacts, price lists, open orders, and as much order history as you can get. Do this today, whatever platform you end up on. CSV or spreadsheet exports are enough.
- 2
Book a 30-minute call
Bring the export. We map your fields to Orderwerks, confirm your ShipStation and payment setup, and give you a fixed onboarding quote and a go-live date.
- 3
We import and configure
Catalog, customers, pricing, price groups by state, order workflow, ShipStation connection, and training for your office team. Two to four weeks.
- 4
Invite your buyers
Each customer gets a login email to your branded portal. They already know how to log in and self-order. The logo and the URL change; the behavior does not.
Deciding in early October for a November cutover? That fits. Onboarding is 2-4 weeks, and your buyers need one email, not a training session.

Payments: keep your gateway
Hemp is treated as high-risk by most card processors, so you probably run a specialty gateway today. Orderwerks does not ask you to change it. Payment status lives on each order, bulk mark-payment handles deposits, and your customers keep paying the way they pay now. If you want card payments inside the portal, ask on the call whether your processor qualifies.

Questions from teams moving off Bushel44
We can’t speak for another company. If you’ve been notified about a change to your platform, the practical advice is the same either way: export your data now, and pick a destination with enough runway for a 2-4 week onboarding.
Yes. Orderwerks gives your customers a branded self-service portal on web, iOS, and Android with their pricing, their order history, and reorder from past orders. If your buyers already log into a portal to order, this is a like-for-like replacement, not a behavior change.
No. Orderwerks runs standalone. Payment status is tracked on every order, and you can mark payments in bulk as they clear. If you adopt QuickBooks Online, Desktop, or Enterprise later, it connects then.
No. Orders go from Orderwerks to ShipStation directly, with SKUs for scan-verify, and tracking comes back to the order. QuickBooks is a separate, optional integration.
Yes, with no per-brand fee. Brands can share one catalog with access segmented by price group and a single portal, or run as separate accounts with one buyer login that spans them. We show both in a demo and recommend one based on how separate the brands need to be.
No. Orderwerks is a private portal for your existing customers. There is no public buyer-facing listing, no QR or public menu page, and no lead lists. We track what your outbound produces through UTM parameters and promo codes, but we don’t send it.
Price groups. Each customer is assigned a price group that controls which products they can see and order and at what price. A buyer in a restricted state never sees a restricted SKU.
Not today. Payment status is tracked in Orderwerks and you keep charging through your current gateway. If you need something specific on the payment side, raise it on the call and you will get a direct answer.
$60 per user per month with volume breaks at 6+ and 11+ users, $1 per login-enabled portal account per month in blocks of 100, and $2,500 one-time onboarding with no accounting system, which includes priority support for your first 90 days. A 2-person team with up to 100 buyer accounts is $220 per month. Adding QuickBooks Online is $1,000 more; QuickBooks Enterprise integrations are $5,000 total. No per-brand fees, no transaction fees, month to month.
Two to four weeks from the first call. Import and configuration are on us; your office team gets trained; then your buyers get a login email. Starting in early October comfortably lands a November cutover.
Products with SKUs and pricing, customers with contacts and addresses, price lists or tiers, open orders, and order history. CSV or spreadsheet is fine. Export it now, even if you haven’t chosen a destination.
