Commission Management
Getting Started
Enable the Commissions feature in Business Settings to begin tracking and managing sales commissions.
Configuring Users
To track commissions for a user, assign them a commission rate:
Navigate to Users and select the user account
Enter their commission rate in the Commission Rate field (as a percentage)
This rate will apply to all orders associated with that user unless overridden.
Configuring Customers (Optional)
Override the default commission rate for specific customers when needed:
Open the customer's account record
Enter a custom rate in the Commission Rate field (as a percentage)
The customer-level rate takes precedence over the user's default rate.
Releasing Commissions
Mark orders as payable for commission purposes:
Go to the Orders screen
Select the checkbox next to each eligible order
Click the "Release Commission" button in the action bar
This timestamps the orders, making them available in commission reports for the selected date range.
Order Commission User Override (Optional)
There are two ways to assign commission credit:
Automatic
: If users enter their own orders, they automatically receive commission credit
Manual override
: When someone enters an order on behalf of another user, you can either:
Change the order user to the correct commission recipient, or
Specify a commission user directly on the order
Commission Reports
Generate commission reports with role-based visibility:
Sales users
: View only their own commission details
Admins
: View all company commissions
Reports include:
User-level totals
Breakdown by customer
Breakdown by order
Excel export for further analysis and record-keeping
