Sales Tax
Sales tax is a complicated element of business. We offer a few solutions depending on what level of sophistication you require.To get started with any of the options, let's first enable the Sales Tax setting, found under Settings:
Tax Exempt: You can also mark specific customers tax exempt under their account profile. Find the tax exempt checkbox under the Ordering Setup section.
Any orders in which the state matches a state tax rate that's setup will use that tax rate instead of the default.
Simple sales tax

If you need to collect a different sales tax amount based on the state the order is being shipped to, you can setup the different states that you want to collect tax in and the rate per state:Any orders in which the state matches a state tax rate that's setup will use that tax rate instead of the default.
