Daily Routes let you organize your local deliveries and pickups into efficient, trackable routes. Instead of managing individual orders, you group them into a single route assigned to a specific date, driver, and vehicle - then track progress in real-time as your driver completes each stop.
Key Concepts
What is a Daily Route?
A Daily Route is a collection of orders scheduled for delivery (or pickup) on a specific date. Each route can be assigned to:
A driver who will complete the deliveries
A vehicle for tracking which truck/van is being used
A date when the deliveries should occur
Creating a Daily Route
Select a Route - Choose which geographic area or customer group
Pick a Date - When the deliveries should happen
Add Orders - Select which orders to include in this route
Assign Driver & Vehicle - Who's delivering and in what vehicle
Optimize (Optional) - Let the system calculate the most efficient stop order
When orders are added to a route, their status automatically changes to Ready for Delivery (or Ready for Pickup for pickup routes).
Route Optimization
Daily Routes integrate with Google Maps to optimize your delivery sequence. When you optimize a route:
The system calculates the most efficient order to visit each stop
Delivery windows are respected (if configured on customer addresses)
You get estimated arrival times for each stop
Start and end times are calculated for the entire route
Tip: If you add or remove orders after optimizing, you'll need to re-optimize to get updated sequencing.
Delivery Windows & Route Planning
If your customers have delivery windows configured on their addresses, route optimization will factor these in:
Hard windows - Deliveries must occur within this time (e.g., restaurant needs product before 10am)
Soft windows - Preferred times with flexibility (optimizer tries to meet them but can adjust if needed)
