First let's clarify the two defining elements in Orderwerks regarding Shipments:Shipments Groups - A Shipment Group can be associated with one or more orders and can be associated with one or more Shipments.Shipments - A package, pallet, etc. that is entered in for a given Shipment Group.All Shipments must be part of a Shipment Group.

To create a shipment inside of an order, a few things have to be in place:1) The next workflow step must either be - Ready to Ship, Shipped, Ready for Pickup or Ready for Delivery.2) User must be of type: Admin, Ship Management or Order ManagementThese buttons will appear in the top right:
The buttons available will be dependent on what settings you have turned on, if the order is just a Local Pickup or Local Delivery order as well.When you click any of the buttons the 'Create Shipment Group' sidebar will come into view.
From here you can configure the Shipment Group with any of the details necessary.When completed, click 'Review' and then 'Save'.Skip to the 'Create Shipments' below to see how to add Shipments to the Shipment Group.Within the Shipments ScreenWhen in the Shipments screen, click on the 'Create' button.This will open up the 'Create Shipment Group' sidebar.
You will first enter and select the customer record that the Shipment Group will be for.Then you will add the Orders to the Shipment Group, searching and selecting each one and clicking the 'Add' button. You need a minimum of 1 order.From here you can configure the Shipment Group with any of the details necessary.When completed, click 'Review' and then 'Save'.
Create Shipments
Now that you have a Shipment Group created, you will want to create a shipment within it.Click the arrow on the far left of the shipment group to open up the Shipment section beneath it:
Here is where you can see any existing shipments as well as click 'Add Shipment' to create new shipments.When you click 'Add Shipment' you will be able to enter in the details around the Shipment. If the Shipment Group was setup to be a ShipStation Shipment Group you will then be able to see all of the different carriers you have setup in your ShipStation account.Finally, clicking Review and Save will then create the Shipment entry. If connected with ShipStation, it will create the Label, get the Tracking details and more.
