Price Groups are an essential aspect for any catalog, and any business. They often can vary from customers to regions or even more complex scenarios. Orderwerks allows you to setup, manage and implement a multitude of Price Group options to make sure your Customers have the right pricing.Price Groups are unique to each Catalog and can be locked down to Customer or even Internal User accounts. Orderwerks offers single Catalog/Price Group Locks for Users to Multiple Catalog/Price Group Locks for using, fully encompassing even the most complex price access scenarios.
Assign A Single Price Group

then Users.
Click the Button for your Accounts, such as Customers
Click the pencil icon for the row of the Account you want to assign a single price group to.
Scroll Down in the Sidebar to the Option: Catalog
Select a Catalog To Lock To
(Optional) Select a Price Group to Lock To.
If you only select a Catalog, the Account will see only that Catalog, but can create Orders against any of the Price Groups in the locked-to Catalog.If you selected a Catalog AND a Price Group, then the Accounts Orders will be locked to both that Catalog Selected AND the Price Group selected.
Assign Multiple Price Groups

then your Account designation, such as Customers.
The Accounts table can scroll to the left and right. You can also shrink the table by deselecting columns with the at the top right of the table.
Whether you Scroll to the right or Shrink the Table look for the Edit Price Group Access button and Click it.
A Drawer pulls up and you can then use the Mapper tool to select what combination of Catalogs and Price Groups the user has access to. If the user has access to no Price Groups in a given catalog, don’t add them to the Selected Options side.
If you are making changes to multiple catalogs, be sure to hit Save before you move on to the next Catalog.
Manage Price Groups - Add / Update / Delete

then Catalogs
Click View next to the Catalog to manage Price Groups for.
Click the Price Groups button in the Action Bar.
Click the Add button to add a new price group.
After you enter the name, click the green checkmark.
Click the Save button
Bulk Price Group Management
Businesses can sometimes have a lot of price groups to manage, which is why we offer the ability to create and update them in bulk.
Download Price Group CSV

then Catalogs
Check the checkbox next to the Catalog you want to bulk update.
From the
Download CSV
section in the action bar, click the Price Groups button.
This will download a CSV File that will allow you to create or update price groups.
Upload Price Group CSV

Click the Upload button on the right side on the Catalog row, for the Catalog you want to update.
Select Price Group update from the dropdown.
Select / Drop the CSV File to process.
Click Upload.
Catalog Items
Once your Price Groups are set up in the Catalog, you can easily assign specific pricing to any Catalog Item or make items unavailable for particular Price Groups as needed.
When editing an item in your catalog, scroll down to the Price Groups section to manage pricing across different customer segments. Here you'll find:
Price Group Rows - Each row represents one of your catalog's price groups
Sell Price Field - Enter the specific selling price for each price group
Profitability Data - If cost pricing is enabled, you'll see calculated profit amounts and margin percentages based on the item's cost price
Availability Toggle - To make an item unavailable for a specific price group, simply check the "N/A" box
This pricing structure allows you to maintain consistent pricing strategies while customizing availability across different customer segments.
