While more volume based accounts can benefit from Orderwerks Classic, there is a segment of customers that may not order much or are more visual users that require a different approach, more similar to a traditional eCommerce shopping cart.With this mode you can enable an account and all of their users to utilize a streamlined approach to placing orders, viewing existing orders and more.
Enable eCommerce View For An Account
To get started, an account requires 3 prerequisites in order to use this mode:
Enable 'Is eCommerce User' on their account
Assign a single catalog and price group.
For the type of account, you have 2 options - Net and Cash:
For cash customers, you must have a Stripe account, and the integration configured, it's currently the only billing setup we support in eCommerce mode.
For net customers, toggle on 'Net Term eCommerce User'
The first two items can be found by editing the account record, and setting the options under the Ordering Setup section:
The Stripe integration setup is in the Business Integrations section, but is only necessary if you want to charge customers.Once the three of those are in place, then anytime an account user logs into Orderwerks, they will only have the option to flow through the eCommerce style ordering experience.
