What is a Client in Orderwerks?Clients in Orderwerks are different than your Accounts (Vendor, Customer, Retailer, Distributor, Reseller, etc.). It is meant to be a record that relates to the End Client that may receive an Order, but if you still invoice your direct Account - a good example of this is a drop shipment for on of your Accounts. It also could relate to a re-useable client with a specific location.Why would I want to use Clients?If you want to have a data point that can be used again or searched, but it’s not as deeply setup with the integrations - you don't Invoice a Client.How else are Clients used?Clients are also utilized when you are pulling in Orders from different eCommerce Platforms – such as WooCommerce or Shopify. That way you’re not populating your Accounts section with these records or having them get pushed into your Accounting software.
Creating new Clients is easy. You can do this in the Clients section or directly with the Order Entry:
