FastBound Integration - Pending Serials

When serial numbers are imported from FastBound during an acquisition sync, they arrive as "pending serials" - serial numbers that exist in Orderwerks but haven't yet been assigned to a specific catalog item. The Pending Serials page lets you search, filter, assign, and manage these serials.

Accessing Pending Serials

Navigate to Business > Integrations > FastBound > Sync Dashboard.
Click the Pending Serials button at the top of the dashboard.
Or go to the Serials page under Inventory, click the Pending Serials button at the top.

Searching and Filtering

The search panel at the top provides multiple filters to narrow down your serial list:

Serial	Search by full or partial serial number
Manufacturer	Filter by firearm manufacturer name
Model	Filter by model name
Caliber	Filter by caliber
Type	Filter by firearm type (pistol, rifle, shotgun, etc.)
Account	Select a specific FastBound account (useful with multiple accounts)
Status	Filter by serial status (see Status Definitions below)

Enter your filter criteria and click Search, or press Enter in any text field. Click Reset to clear all filters and return to the default view.

Understanding Serial Statuses

Each serial has a status that reflects its current state in FastBound:

Status	Badge Color	Meaning
Active	Green	Serial is active and available in FastBound
Disposed	Yellow	Serial has been disposed (sold, transferred) in FastBound
Deleted	Red	Serial was deleted from FastBound
Theft/Loss	Red	Serial was reported as stolen or lost
Destroyed	Red	Serial was reported as destroyed
Dismissed	Gray	Serial was manually dismissed in Orderwerks (hidden from default view)

Assigning a Serial to a Catalog Item

Assigning links a FastBound serial number to a specific product in your Orderwerks catalog.

Assign a Single Serial

Find the serial in the table.
Click the Assign button in the Actions column for that row.
In the Assign modal:
- Select a Catalog from the dropdown.
- Type in the Catalog Item search field to find the item by SKU or name.
- Select the matching catalog item from the typeahead results.
Click Confirm.

Bulk Assign Multiple Serials

Select multiple serials using the checkboxes in the first column.
- Use Select All on Page to quickly check all visible rows.
Once selected, a toolbar appears showing the count of selected items.
Click Assign to Catalog Item.
In the Assign modal, select a Catalog and Catalog Item (same process as single assignment).
Click Confirm. All selected serials will be assigned to the chosen catalog item.

Tip: Bulk assignment is ideal when you receive a batch of the same item (e.g., 50 units of the same model) and need to assign them all to one catalog item at once.

Dismissing and Restoring Serials

Sometimes imported serials don't belong in your active workflow - for example, test records or serials that were imported by mistake. You can dismiss these to hide them from the default view.

Dismissing Serials

Select one or more serials using the checkboxes.
Click the Dismiss button in the selection toolbar.
Confirm the dismissal in the modal.

Dismissed serials are hidden from the default view but are not deleted. They still exist in the system.

Restoring Dismissed Serials

Set the Status filter to Dismissed and click Search.
Select the serials you want to restore.
Click the Restore button (which replaces the Dismiss button when viewing dismissed serials).
Confirm the restoration.

Table Columns

The pending serials table displays the following information:

Column	Description
Checkbox	Select individual rows for bulk operations
Serial	The serial number value
Manufacturer	Firearm manufacturer from FastBound
Model	Firearm model from FastBound
Caliber	Caliber/gauge from FastBound
Type	Firearm type from FastBound
SKU	SKU from FastBound item metadata
Status	Current serial status (color-coded badge)
Account	Which FastBound account this serial was imported from
Date Synced	When the serial was first imported into Orderwerks
Actions	Assign button for individual serial assignment

The table supports sorting by Serial and Date Synced columns. Click the column header to toggle sort direction.

Pagination

Results are paginated with 25 items per page by default. Use the pagination bar at the bottom to navigate between pages or adjust the page size.
